What is GeneratedTags?
GeneratedTags is a free AI-powered metadata generator designed for video creators, podcasters, and social marketers who move fast. Paste the script or talking points from your next YouTube upload or short-form clip, choose a platform, and GeneratedTags delivers publishing-ready copy tuned to that network's best practices. No more writer's block, no more scrambling for relevant keywords moments before hitting publish.
The platform ships with tailored prompts for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and TikTok. Each prompt mirrors the latest algorithm guidance around character counts, tone, hook structure, and keyword placement so you can focus on storytelling, not metadata guesswork.
How it works under the hood
- Pick your platform. GeneratedTags loads a prompt built specifically for that network's format from YouTube headline length to TikTok caption cadence.
- Paste your script. Provide the raw talking points, bullet list, or transcript for your video. The richer the input, the sharper the output.
- Let the AI craft metadata. We call OpenAI's latest Creator-Tuned models, validate the response against strict schemas, and surface the results instantly in a polished layout with copy-to clipboard controls.
Behind the scenes, we log nothing sensitive and store results locally in your browser for quick reference. A rate limiter protects the community-funded credits that keep the tool live, and donors can help raise the free tier limit (currently 5 generations per hour).
Why it matters
High-performing metadata boosts click-through rate and watch time, but crafting it consistently is tedious. GeneratedTags gives solo creators and lean marketing teams a strategic starting point so they can ship videos faster, test messaging, and spend more time on the edit bay, not the headline field.
We are just getting started. Next up, we are exploring brand voice presets, batch generation, and workflow integrations based on community feedback. If you want to help shape the roadmap, hop over to the contact form or support the project on Ko-fi.
